Lorenzo's Italian Café owner Matthew Restifo began his career in 1994 delivering pizzas and became very interested in making and cooking them instead. He worked part-time with his father at a restaurant as the prep cook and learned to do everything in the pizza station at a young age. Matthew has worked for numerous pizzerias, restaurants and caterers all over the Capital Region.
At Lorenzo's, a majority of the menu items are prepared in-house. Matthew roasts beef and turkey himself and also bakes the Italian bread, hard rolls and sub rolls himself. Lorenzo's specializes in Italian foods, but caters to a wider audience with a variety of menu items, including breakfast.
