The Chamber of Schenectady County is pleased to announce the winners of this year’s “Good News” Awards.  For more than 25 years, the Chamber has been recognizing organizations in Schenectady County which have shown extraordinary community support, undergone major growth or expansions, survived through economic ups and downs or launched a unique product or service within the past year, or are simply a true success story.

First Class Products, Schenectady Community Home, Inc., Peter Pause Restaurant, Judy Atchinson, Jim Martin, Joseph Defilippo, EOS Technologies, ShopRite Supermarkets, Union College and the Blue Ribbon Dinner were all selected to receive the award this year. Winners were selected by a committee of Chamber members from nominations received from the community during the month of January.

“We expect a sell-out crowd to be on hand as we honor these wonderful individuals, businesses and organizations," said Chamber President and CEO Chuck Steiner. "They’ve all been successful in their endeavors while having a positive effect on the economic development in our community and the quality of life of its residents.”

Awards will be presented at the Good News Luncheon on Thursday, May 2 at River Stone Manor, 1437 Amsterdam Road in Glenville.
